My work fixates on nostalgia, American popular culture and youth. I use imagery that I think will be universal to everyone who was once a child and especially those who refuse to grow up.
Cory Oberndorfer has exhibited nationally, including Grand Central Art Center in Santa Ana, CA; Redux Contemporary Art Center in Charleston, SC; and Flashpoint Gallery and G Fine Art in Washington, D.C.
Cory has received multiple Artist Fellowships and project grants from the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities, and currently teaches as an adjunct instructor at George Washington University, American University and Montgomery College, Takoma Park, MD.
Oberndorfer received his BFA from Weber State University and MFA from American University.
